is a series resulting from a period of lack of resources and vulnerability. There is a yearning for space and belonging embedded in the practice of drawing - squares in sequence where spectral landscapes are depicted and encapsulated.

In a context where the ability to compact one’s belongings is a priority, the choice of supports and the process behind them function accordingly. Paper, pencils and smaller scales are easier to carry and reserve. The wood and plaster - mediums often present in civil construction - allude to and materialize the desire for a whimsical structured household. The viewer’s eyes are thus guided throughout the images that managed to survive and emerge from the white spackle.

Each work compels the passerby to get closer, as if Puiupo invites them to imagine with him a kind of sublime and serene future, though always haunted by the present’s uncomfortable uncertainty.
