Ivo Puiupo (b. Lisbon, 1996) is currently based in Brazil. Puiupo investigates and is interested in the tension points between experimental comics and other supports of visual sequentiality such as photography, drawing and painting. His work tends to explore themes that revolve around grief through symbols from his personal figurative and iconographic repertoire.

In parallel to everything, Puiupo is also a disabled trans man. The traversings one experiences within the reffered social context have a great influence on his work’s poetics.
